History

Medford-Jackson County Airport was renamed to Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport in 1994 since it became international. In 2008 30-meter-high control tower was built. In 2009 after some renovations, the terminal building was extended by 10,000-square-meters. The restoration enabled the airport to have the main concourse and two additional open-air concourses. Today the airport has an observation deck, restaurant, and loading bridges on the second floor of the terminal building.

Capacity

In 2011 the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport carried out approximately 42 064 general aviation operations, 62% of which were general aviation flights. In 2016 the airport served over 882 000 passengers.

In 2017, the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport provided 38 517 aircraft operations, 42% of which were general aviation flights, 24.5% air carriers, 21% air taxi operations, 11% local civil operations, and about 1.5% military operations (including local military).

In 2018, the airport hit the milestone of more than a million annual passengers served.
